On september 23 2005, f.b.i. agents (hitmen decribe them better) went on a search and destroy operation(they claim they were out to arest) to get the leader of the Ejercito Popular Boricua,(Boricua Popular Army)also known as Los Macheteros(the machete weilders), Comander Filiberto Ojeda Rios.As a result to this "operation" Comander Ojeda Rios was shot and let bleed to dead by federal agents at his house in the rural town of Hormiugueros.For the u.s.a. goverment he was a terrorist, for the vast mayority of puertorricans he was a patriot(regarthless of them agreeing with his methods, the theme of armed strugle always brings controversy).A 5 hour trafic jam on his burial,kids coming out of theire schools to salute the caravan,and the visit at the burial from u.s. of former Black Phanter Party members as well as suport declarations from Cuba and Venezuela stand witness to it. The f.b.i. has made a big mistake.
